At Al-Mana Childcare, our mission is to provide safe and nurturing childcare services that promote child development and growth. Our program offers opportunities to incorporate languages other than English, such as Oromo, Somali, and Arabic, into academics.

About the Owner
My name is Fatiya Usso, and I've been caring for children all my life, starting with my own siblings since I was the oldest girl in my family. After over 7 years at Albina Head Start, my passion for childhood development led me to pursue further education. I recently earned my associate’s degree in early childhood education in June 2023, and I'm currently continuing my studies at Portland State University.
Inspired by my love for children, I decided to establish my own childcare program. At our center, we don't just provide basic care for infants and toddlers; we focus on teaching them essential skills like letter and sound recognition, phonemic awareness, print awareness, language development, Arabic alphabet and fostering their creativity. These elements are crucial for preparing children not only for academic success but also for their overall growth and development.
